Digital technologies have a pivotal role to play on this journey towards more socially and environmentally sustainable systems.
Currently at every stage of the lifecycle of a wind farm, greenhouse gases are emitted. During the typical lifetime of a wind farm, it is expected to produce over 40 times more energy than it consumes. Furthermore, at every stage of the wind farm lifecycle, improvements are constantly being made to reduce greenhouse emissions and at the end of life to recycle and reuse materials.
Renewable Strategy works hard to help extend the operations and maintenance phase of a wind farm lifecycle. The RSL Manager software helps reduce the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) for companies. The RSL Manager tracks all the work executed, including components involved on each asset on a wind farm from cradle to grave. Armed with this information wind farm owners gain a valuable insight into their wind farm operations. The industry can then increase efficiency by conducting more timely wind turbine upgrades and predict when to replace components. Furthermore, the wind farm owners can work with the supply chain to consider remanufactured components.
